Hi, my name is Loan Silvestre. I’m a 24-year-old photographer and filmmaker from Namur in Belgium.

I started photography in 2017 and had my first experience in filmmaking in 2018. It’s been a year now that I mostly work with a Bronica GS-1 which is a medium format analog camera. I chose analog because it fits more with my approach of photography. It demands more time but it’s a more rigorous and genuine way to capture an image.

As far as filmmaking is concerned, I usually use a Fuji XT-3 or a Nikon Z6. However, I have worked before with a BlackMagic 4K.

My work is particularly focused on the story that comes from the images. For me, a good picture or a good documentary must be able to touch the sensibility of the audience. That’s what I try to do everytime I take my camera to create content.
